gpSP is a Nintendo Game Boy Advance video game system emulator that can be used as a libretro core.


gpSP is a Game Boy Advance emulator based on notaz' fork of gpSP with additional codebase improvements.

These are libretro features, not frontend or standalone emulator features.

Saves Save states Rewind Netplay Cheats Controllers API Rumble Sensors Camera Location Subsystem API


gpSP requires the following BIOS image file for operation:

  • gba_bios.bin (Game Boy Advance Image)


This core has a few options that can be tweaked from the core options menu. The default setting is highlighted and in italics:

  • gpsp-drc (enabled/disabled): Enable or disable the dynamic recompiler (if enabled). Will give a big performance boost if enabled.


The gpSP core supports one controller setting:
